In regards to the subclass 482 company nomination fee, please be advised there has been no change from the subclass 457 nomination fee. The fee still remains as $330.00AUD.Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) Levy

We also take this opportunity to remind you that the Skilling Australian Fund is due to be implemented in the coming weeks. At present, it is still yet to be finalised in Parliament, but to confirm the SAF levy is as follows:

Company with a turnover of under $10 million AUD for the last financial year: $1,200.00AUD per year (determined by how many years are nominated in the nomination application)

Company with a turnover of over $10 million AUD for the last financial year: $1,800.00AUD per year (determined by how many years are nominated in the nomination application)

For example: a company with a turnover of over $10 million AUD nominating an applicant with an occupation on the MLTSSL for 4 years equates to a SAF levy of $7,200.00AUD

Important things to note:

  • At the moment there is no waiver of this levy or no procedure for a refund, for example, if the nominated applicant leaves 6 months into their 4-year visa.
  • If you transfer a 457/482 visa holder and another employer has already paid the SAF for the full 4 year period, you have to pay the SAF levy again for however long you nominate in the nomination.
